This is my Weekly Progress:
Week 2:
+ learned about camera angles & movements
+ Learned about Demographic and Psychographic target audiences
+ Looked at the advert (barbie)
Week 3:
+ Watched 3 adverts and analyse them
+ Need 1 more simple one, and 1 more detailed analysis
Week 4:
+ I learned about mise-en-scene, visual aspects of media such as colour, blocking, props, weather, hair, set design and etc
+ I studied about the different groups of audiences, Demographic (age, income, location, occupation) and Psychographic (interests, values)
+ I finished the mini project experimenting with the camera angles and camera movement
+ I finished My Target Audience post
+ I started to get ideas for my advertisement: about supercars for women
Week 5:
+ I leanred about sound and types of it (diegetic and non-digetic).
+ I learned about how to make a storyboard (layout, and what to put in it) and practice making one
Week 6:
+ I learned about technical editing elements such as cutaways, match-cut, cross-cutting
+ I made a video analysis about Quiet Place clip (practicing Section A for the exam). I was tasked to choose 1 big idea that describes the video and used technical elements (camera angles, camera movements, sound, and edit) to support the big idea.
+ I submited the practice storyboard
+ I made the proposal for my advertisement
Week 7
+ I make a video analysis about Peggy, in captain America. I wrote down the technical elements (camera angles, camera movements, sound, edit, and mise-en-cense) to support that Peggy is being casted away and overlooked than the men.
+ I did a Unit Test about camera angles and movements
+ I finished my draft storyboard and my teacher told me to work on my scaling so my shot looks realistic
+ I'm about to start my final storyboard
+ I continued my final storyboard. I believe I took too much time drawing each shot and I will improve by simplyfying my drawings and continue making it faster since I have many shots and limited time.
Week 9:
+ I learned about 4 media theories such as the Hypodermic Needle theory, Two Step Flow theory, Desensitisation (compassion fatigue), and social learning. All of these theories I can use to answer the question in section B of the exam such as 'How does media ownership affect the content that it produces?'
+ I also learned how to structure my answer to respond to the section B question: which is starting with an introduction, paragraph 1 consisting of the point, the context, a case study, and the theory related to it. Then repeat with paragraph 2 and 3.
